Company tracking policy

Set the inactivity timeout for supported Momentum add-ins across your company. Recorded idle is excluded from tracked active hours. Existing input and review-work detection continues; activity alone is not proof of productive work.

A supported add-in keeps its launch policy for that Revit session. Changes received while Revit is open wait for the next restart. Before a computer first accepts a company policy, it uses an unconfirmed 10-minute default; receiving the first policy does not change an open session. Offline computers retain their last accepted company policy. Older add-ins remain unmanaged until updated; this page does not confirm which computers have applied a change.

Integrations Studio

Outbound webhooks: get notified at your own HTTPS endpoint when tasks, projects, or members change. Each delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256 so you can verify it really came from us. Read the docs

Beacon company settings

Set company colors, export metadata, Revit spool drawing defaults, browser print pages, and tags. These defaults are applied by updated ForgeFab and Beacon clients when you start a new operation.

Company connection

Invite each employee to this company before they connect Momentum in Revit. Each person signs in with their own company account and reviews the computer being linked.

Connect Momentum in Revit

Install Momentum and Companion Beta together, then connect Momentum using your company account. Setup adds the connections for supported Revit and Navisworks versions installed on this computer.

1. Save your work and close Revit and Navisworks. Right-click the Companion icon by the Windows clock and choose Quit Companion, then run the installer below. Hiding its window does not quit it. Setup skips versions that are not installed.
2. Open Revit and choose Momentum → Connect Momentum.
3. Sign in on the page that opens. Check the company, computer and matching code against Revit, then confirm the connection.
4. Your first eligible licensed computer connects automatically. Additional computers may need approval under Team → Computer connections. Choose Sync / Check status in Revit and follow its instructions.

Update on close also requires Navisworks and Companion to be closed. If an app is still running, setup shows a notice and postpones the update without closing your apps. Close the remaining app and run setup again.

Already connected? Check existing delivery queues and keep recovery files before changing accounts or companies. Existing recorded hours retain their original identity.

Companion Beta 0.1.12 expires October 28, 2026. Its optional PDF review observations stay on this computer and do not add Timesheet hours. PDF time in Edge and Chrome is not enabled in this release. Read the setup and task guide.

Team workspace

Project cards, live kanban with drag and drop, calendar, timesheets, support, and Beacon, all in one app, reading your tenant in real time. This is the team's dashboard; this admin console stays for setup, billing, and reports.

Desktop dashboard

This same dashboard in its own window, with a persistent Microsoft sign-in so you are not logging in every morning. It lives in the tray, can open at startup, and updates itself in the background. Windows 64-bit.

Hub server (optional, admin only, deprecated)

The Hub is a local dashboard server you can run on a project lead's PC for a fully on-prem view of team activity. Optional, most teams just use this web dashboard instead. Install it only if you want a local-network alternative or a fallback when internet is down.

1. Run the downloaded MomentumHub-Setup.exe on one PC (a server, project lead's machine, etc.).
2. Step through the wizard, pick a port (default 5500) and a shared sessions folder.
3. Anyone on the same network can hit http://<that-pc>:5500/ for the local dashboard.

Team roster (0)

Everyone the system has seen, admins, members, and modelers who use the addin without dashboard accounts. Send tasks to anyone; offline modelers receive them next time their addin polls Firestore.

Click a project to filter the kanban below. Sessions match by open document name, project number, saved match terms, or the modeler's single assigned project when the Revit file uses an internal name.

Timesheets

Worked hours per modeler by day, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Active hours exclude recorded idle and time the tracker could not confirm. Tracking Events explains these intervals. Weekend hours are highlighted green.

Project schedules

Import the GC's construction schedule (Excel/CSV) per project, pours, BIM/coordination, shop-drawing dates. Drives the alerts here, the daily reminder email, and Revit milestone popups.

See the next step for each person. Joining the company, connecting a computer, and appearing in Live now are separate steps. Live now requires recent Revit activity.

Roles & permissions

Two roles control what teammates see and do in this workspace. Promote, demote, or remove members below, the server enforces that the workspace always has at least one admin.

What each role can do

Modelers who use the addin without a dashboard account aren't shown here, they only see their own tasks via the Revit "My Tasks" panel and never have dashboard access. Full reference

Templates

Workspace and Admin Console share one template library. Start with a Momentum Default, customize a company copy, then use it for project checklists or a set of assigned tasks.

Momentum Defaults · modifiable bases

Review the base, choose Customize copy, and save your company version. Cost codes have a separate editable library so you can review each project's contract before applying them.

Choose a company template's Default for new projects setting in the shared library to add its checklist automatically to future projects. Saved projects and tasks keep their own copies. The original Fabrication-ready (60 items) checklist is still available in the project editor.

Invitations

Invite each teammate using their work email. They register with that same email, complete their profile, and connect Revit to the company in their invitation. A paid tracking license is reserved where your company plan requires one.

Modeler grades

A letter grade per modeler from their task record: completion, on-time rate, throughput, and open overdue tasks. Hover a grade for the component breakdown. A coaching aid, not an evidence trail (see the note on using this data below).

Seats and machines

Every PC that has reported into this workspace, and who used it. A seat is a person, not a machine: one modeler on two PCs is one seat, and a shared PC used by two people is two. Verified devices require an active employee membership and an enabled linked credential. Older installations using shared credentials also need review in the advanced add-in access inventory.

Revoking stops that modeler using Momentum and stops them counting toward your bill. Their future authorized reporting is blocked. Hours already recorded remain on their projects and timesheets; local recovery files must be kept for review. Revoking access does not delete recorded work.

An invited member’s first eligible licensed computer connects automatically. Review additional computer requests here. A computer check-in confirms that Momentum reached the server; Live now separately shows recent Revit activity.

Pending device requests

Registered devices

Older clients, shared credentials and installations that have never enrolled may be absent. Zero reported queue items is scoped to one reporting Revit process. Keep uncertain or rejected local files for review.

Modeler acknowledgments

Modelers see a one-time monitoring notice in Revit on first launch. This card shows who has and hasn't acknowledged it, and which monitoring tier they picked. Per Holmes v. Petrovich + Bărbulescu factor 1, please remind team members with a pending acknowledgment to review the notice in Revit. Their Revit session data stays on their computer until they acknowledge it.

Pending data deletion requests

Review the exact member and linked credentials before removing company access and their contact profile. Sessions, payroll, acknowledgments and historical evidence are retained. This action is not full data erasure. Denial closes the request with a recorded reason.

Audit log

Review recent changes to your company, team and settings. Each entry shows who made the change and what was recorded. Showing the latest 50 entries. Names come from the current company directory; original references remain available in each entry.

My data

Download records matched to your exact member ID and administrator-linked Revit identities. Older name-only or unlinked records require administrator review. You can request removal of company access and your contact profile; payroll, work history, acknowledgments and other evidence are retained. The global sign-in account remains. This is not full data erasure. See the Privacy Policy for other data requests.

A note on using this data

Momentum is designed for operational project management, tracking hours against budgets, routing tasks, surfacing project status. It is not designed as evidence for adverse employment actions. Using session data as the sole basis for discipline or termination may shift your legal posture under Bărbulescu factor 3 ("operational" "investigatory") and state labor / human-rights review. We strongly recommend that any employment decision be based on independent operational judgment, not on a Momentum dashboard alone. Got it, dismiss.
