Terms of Service

The basic agreement between you and Momentum. Plain language. We'll add more detail as the product matures.

Last updated: 2026-05-01 · Effective date: 2026-05-01
This is a starter Terms of Service. It covers the obvious things in plain language. If your firm needs a Master Services Agreement, Data Processing Addendum, or custom contract terms, email Info@getmomentum.studio.

1. Who's agreeing to what

"Momentum" or "we" means the operators of the Momentum service (the GetMomentum team). "You" means the individual signing up for an account or, if you're an admin, the firm you represent.

By creating an account or installing the Momentum addin, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

Momentum is a project-management and Revit activity-tracking service. It includes:

Exactly what the service captures and how it's used is described in the Privacy Policy and the How Momentum works page.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Subscriptions and billing

6. Your data

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows, third-party outages (Google Cloud, Microsoft, Stripe, Autodesk), and unforeseen incidents can cause downtime. We do not currently offer a contractual SLA on free or starter plans; talk to us if your firm requires one.

8. Warranty disclaimer

Momentum is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be error-free, that activity reports are perfectly accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted. We aim for accuracy and improve relentlessly, but you shouldn't make consequential business decisions based solely on Momentum data without independent verification.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

10. Termination

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to workspace admins and a banner on the dashboard. Your continued use after a change indicates acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of operation of the GetMomentum team, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless your jurisdiction's consumer protection laws require otherwise.
